Taking my daughter to the Chicago Stars FC game wasn’t just a fun day out- it was a reminder that building something meaningful takes time, vision, and relentless belief.
Women’s professional soccer didn’t become what it is today overnight. It took decades of:
💠 Fighting for equal footing
💠 Investing in young talent
💠 Believing in a future others couldn’t yet see
💠 Showing up - game after game - whether the stands were full or not
Leadership is no different.
If we want to build teams, cultures, and companies that last, we have to commit to the long game. We have to:
💠 Develop people even when it’s inconvenient
💠 Stay resilient when the scoreboard doesn’t reflect the effort
💠 Make decisions that benefit the next generation - not just the next quarter
Watching the Stars on the field - and my daughter watching them from the stands - was a reminder: legacy leadership isn’t loud or flashy. It’s consistent. And it's worth it.
